Chamber Office Complex

I) CHAMBER PLATINUM JUBILEE HATSUN AUDITORIUM :


The Chamber possesses its own a four storied office complex with the spacious Platinum Jubilee Hatsun Auditorium, MEPCO Mini Auditorium and Gold Winner

Meeting Hall at Kamarajar Salai, Madurai. The Building originally put up was an

asbestos - roofed Auditorium, which was declared open by Hon’ble Chief Minister

Thiru M. Karunanidhi on 16.4.1972. The foundation stone for the front office

complex building was laid by the Hon’ble Union Finance Minister Thiru R. Venkataraman on 22.05.1980 and the same was also declared open by him on 29.12.1985 when he was His Excellency the Vice-President of India. The Building Committee Chairman was the Former President of our Chamber Thiru L. Narayanan Chettiar.


The asbestos roofed auditorium was removed for putting up the Hatsun & Mepco

Auditoriums and the Foundation Stone was laid by the Hon’ble Chief Minister

Dr. Kalaignar M. Karunanidhi on 1.9.1996. Major donors were M/s. Hatsun Agro Products Ltd., Chennai and M/s. Metal Powder Co. Ltd., Thirumangalam. The Centrally air - conditioned state-of-the-art Platinum Jubilee Hatsun Auditorium with a seating capacity of 800 was also inaugurated by the Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Kalaignar M. Karunanidhi on 14.11.1999, on the occasion of the Platinum Jubilee Celebrations of the Chamber.




II) MEPCO MINI AUDITORIUM :


Mepco Mini Auditorium completed with all ultra modern facilities like video

conferencing, individual tables & mikes with Central Air -conditioning was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Minister of State for Railways, Mr. A.K. Moorthy on 26.09.2002. The cost of construction of both the auditoriums was about ` 2.5 crores and major portion of the amount was collected as donations from Executive Committee members and other well

wishers of the Chamber. The Hatsun Auditorium & Mepco Mini Auditorium proves the devoted & result oriented services rendered by the Office Bearers and Executive Committee Members of our Chamber. The Building Committee was chaired by Thiru Karumuttu T. Kannan with Tvl. V. Neethi Mohan, S.P. Jeyapragasam and J. Rajamohan as members.




III) GOLD WINNER MEETING HALL :


An air-conditioned modern Meeting Hall put up at the First floor of Chamber’s office complex building with major donation from M/s. Kaleesuwari Refinery Pvt. Ltd., Chennai, is

named as Gold Winner Meeting Hall. The Hall was declared open by Thiru Pongalur N. Palanisamy, Hon’ble Minister for Rural Industries, Govt. of Tamilnadu at the 84th Anniversary of the Chamber on 30.09.2008.
