Donation of Rs.10 lakhs for Chamber Building Fund from Tamilnadu Government

The Chamber has the unique distinction of being the recipient of a donation

of Rs. 10 lakhs towards Chamber Building Fund from the Tamilnadu

Government. The Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamilnadu, Dr. Kalaignar M.

Karunanidhi made this historic announcement in the opening function of the

Platinum Jubilee Hatsun Auditorium on 14.11.1999 in response to the plea

made by President Thiru S. Rethinavelu. This is a fitting recognition of the

yeomen services of the Chamber by Tamilnadu Government.
